Reading is a crucial part of a child’s development. It helps with vocabulary, boosts comprehension, and encourages critical thinking. But beyond that, reading can ignite their imagination and creativity.

At Beaumont Lodge Primary School, we have been working hard to instil a love of reading amongst our pupils. Every Tuesday and Thursday we have a BoomReader Reading club from 12:30 during which pupils can come and read a range of beautiful books and access support to log their reading on the BoomReader App.

Every Friday in assembly, Mrs Kazi shares the names of pupils who logged their reading on BoomReader and one lucky child wins a book! Mrs Kazi also shares a picture book with the pupils.
